Dear BV Families,

Welcome back! We look forward to a wonderful 2015-2016 school year for our children. As always, our goal is to give every Beverly Vista student a great education filled with diverse learning opportunities. This can only continue with your financial support. We have the benefit
ofsupportive teachers, a wonderful school, and an excellent school district, but we cannot stop there. A good public education is free, but a great public education costs money! This past year, money raised through parent and community contributions allowed the Beverly Vista PTA to
fund the following programs and make the following purchases for our students:

Purchased:

  • 50 iPads and mobile cart with supporting master laptop
  • Teacher classroom items – over $25,000, including books, DVDs, and other enhanced learning aids
  • Short throw projectors (Smart Boards)
  • Middle School science experiments and equipment
  • Middle School language arts and English workbooks
  • Playground toys for grades PK-K (bicycles, tricycles)
  • Skateboard rack
  • Art classroom equipment and supplies
  • Scholar trophies and awards
  • Acoustic Shells for Music Program
  • Front office beautification

Enrichments Programs Funded:

  • All field trip and field trip buses for grades K-8
  • STEM funding for 6th grade
  • “Hi-Tech High-Touch Elementary Science” Program (Polymer Pat) for grades 1-4
  • Theatricum Botanicum immersed in Shakespeare for 7th grade (100 students participated)
  • Native American studies
  • Music Center performances
  • Dance class for 5th grade students
  • Music specialist for Kindergarten students
  • Movie Night social events
  • Cultural Enrichment programs
  • Lunchtime Chess Club (100 students participated)
  • Science and math competition fees and supplies (such as Science Olympiads)
  • Choir, Band, and Orchestra attendance at competitions and festivals
  • Poetry and Puppetry Workshop for 3rd grade
  • “Bedtime Books For Bulldogs” Program for grades TK-3
  • School Assemblies (such as Moscow Nights)
  • Musical instrument repairs

In just the past two years, the BV PTA has spent over $500,000 on new technology and enrichment programs.

WE ASK FOR A MINIMUM $500 CONTRIBUTION FOR EACH BEVERLY VISTA STUDENT.

PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TODAY. Whether you donate now or later, the BV Pride Annual Fund Envelope
MUST BE SIGNED AND RETURNED TO YOUR STUDENT’S TEACHER to show receipt.

We are looking for 100% participation. Any amount makes a difference and is appreciated.
